I’m Trying

I used to take some pictures of the kids each month on the day of their birthday so I would have plenty of pictures of my kids growing up. I have tried to keep doing that, but when their cooperation started turning sour, I had a hard time pushing myself to push them. But looking back, I LOVE the photos I have of them from those “mini sessions.” So I’ve renewed my efforts, even if it’s an off day and I end up taking a few shots around the house, I will try to get a few shots of that child.

Last month was when I really tried to get back into it, but on Eleanor’s day, she had a corneal abrasion on one eye. I thought about taking pictures of her as she was, but it seemed so cruel with the state she was in.

This week was Eleanor’s day. She actually had fun with it and did quite a few poses of her own choice that cracked me up. Sorry this is just a teaser. First step is getting back into taking the photos. Next step is actually blogging them.

I’ve actually taken some pictures of Curtis every month of his life (I was off by a day maybe once), but I’ve been terrible about blogging them. I kick myself all the time for not recording more of his milestones. But I’m too busy cleaning up his messes! When I get a moment, I’ll have to tell you about the day I had yesterday! It was a doozie!
