Oh Yes, We're That Crazy!

It was two buck Tuesday at the zoo yesterday, and we've been meaning to go for quite a while. Eleanor has never been to the zoo, and Grant wanted to go to witness her first trip. So, when he couldn't go last month, we scheduled it for this month, and Grant got the day off in advance. We didn't let the heat wave stop us. We had planned to go to the zoo, and that's what we did. I'll just post a few pictures (okay, so maybe it ended up more than a few) because I have to pack to go to the coast today. This is such a busy summer!

She was actually scared of this wall. She was scared of some things while she loved others. Little turtles were a hit with this girl! Grant and I got new Beavers hats to stay cool. I felt spoiled all day.

I've decided it's hard to get pictures at the zoo, because I like my pictures with people in them. So, you have to choose between the people or the animals unless you want many pictures of the back of people's heads, looking at the animals. Oh well.

This is one of the ways we kept cool yesterday. We bought one of those cheap travel spray bottles and filled it with water so we could periodically spray each other at the hot zoo. Eleanor found it shocking the first few times we sprayed her, but since we laughed after doing it and after being sprayed ourselves, she decided it was funny. This morning, she's just figuring out how to spray it, and has already enjoyed a few good sprays in the face.
