What's a Trip to Utah without. . .

. . . eating at Cafe Rio?Yum! Dad and Sheila took us out for lunch there on Monday, and I got the pork barbacoa burrito, enchilada style. Yum! Grant got the grilled chicken tacos, and I tasted them (of course). They were also very good. We also went on Wednesday, and I got the pork barbacoa quesadilla and had some bites of my mother's pork barbacoa salad (in order to prevent us having to make yet another visit so I could satisfy all the cravings). Anyone notice a pattern here? Grant got beef tacos, and we split the quesadilla and the tacos. Yum! If you haven't been to Cafe Rio, you've got to go there the next time you're in Utah. I just love that pork barbacoa!

Monday evening, after Dad and Sheila and the kids headed back to Vernal, we went to Beth and Paul's for a while. Beth and Grace went to pick up Mother and Gary at the airport. Eleanor and Isaac did some swinging while Grant and Paul got to talk some politics. They don't always agree with one another, but they remain civilized. Eleanor and Isaac are only about a month apart, he being the older of the two. They were at a horrible stage for playing together because each of them was tantalized by what the other was doing, but neither of them wanted to share or include the other. Eleanor was also tired and cranky, which made for much fussiness.
After a while, all the boys went inside so Grant and Paul could watch the democratic debates. Eleanor was having so much fun outside, I stayed out with her a while more. She loved this little car, even though she only went backwards in it. Once she backed up against the house, I thought she would be done or throw a fit, but she enjoyed getting in and out and saying goodbye to me as if she were going on a trip. I enjoyed all the goodbye kisses she gave me.

Later, when Beth, Grace, Mother and Gary got back from the airport, my mother was the first to walk in. You should have seen Eleanor's face when she walked through the door! She was so happy to see Grandma! It didn't matter to her that she was out of context. It was as if she was relieved to see another familiar face when she had been surrounded by so many faces she didn't recognize (even though she had seen them before). She got the hugest grin on her face, let her binky drop right out of her mouth, and didn't even worry about picking it up. She just wanted to be in her grandma's arms! It was so sweet.
