What a fun Halloween!
In the morning, I took Eleanor to visit Daddy at work. She was a bit unsure of all the attention she was getting, which made her clingy. But she sure didn't mind getting candy! We ended up in the halls while the students were getting out of class, and even some of the students stopped to give her candy or snap a picture with their phones. Everyone thought she was such a cute little poodle!
She has had this little stuffed poodle for over a year, and she has loved carrying it around and taking it to church. So, when I heard about some pink poodle costumes, I had to go get one for her.
They played pin the tail on the black cat, had snacks, and decorated Halloween bags. There were also yummy treats for the adults. Grant had to show up late because of work, and my mother met us there so she could go to trunk-or-treat with us afterwards. If there was a prize for bringing the most cars, we would have won it.
Here's the black cat after all the tails had been put on. Eleanor's is the one right in the middle.
This is the bag Eleanor decorated.
And on to the trunk-or-treat. Eleanor was admiring the loot she had so far, and she was just getting started! Our ward didn't have trunk-or-treat this year because they wanted us out in the neighborhood to get to know our neighbors. Eleanor is still too young for going door to door, so we went to the other ward's trunk-or-treat.
Look at that tail!
She quickly learned this trick: Take one. . .
. . . and if they weren't quick enough, grab another. . . and another. . .
If they just handed her a treat, she would linger there, looking at them. Sometimes it worked and they went ahead and gave her another. How quickly they learn!
We ran into another poodle, and it was Ava from our ward! And Lizzie was with her! Eleanor just loves Lizzie because they were in nursery together before they split the nursery. She doesn't know Ava as well because she's already in Primary.
After trunk-or-treat, Grandma Cline went home, and we went to Grandma Matthews' house.

That is such a cute costume. It looks like you had a fun halloween! :)
ReplyDeleteWe're so glad you came yesterday! We had so much fun and Eleanor was the cutest poodle!
ReplyDeleteCute costume Jocelyn. I am excited for next year. Brooklynn was just a pumpkin this year because I got the costume for a quater before she was even born. I got Benjamins at a garage sale and it was a steal. Everyone though it was so funny.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute poodle! You should get a picture of her with the toy and the costume on.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you guys had a fun-filled Halloween! She looks adorable as a pink poodle! I hadn't seen one of those before.
ReplyDeleteKari, the toy poodle is actually in the first two pictures, but it blends in. We took it to Grant's work since Teresa (from his work) gave it to her. We wanted her to see them together.
