Fun with family

We have enjoyed spending much time with family this week with Michael and Lucero in town. Here are some snapshots of our visits.
"Loves"
"Un abrazo"
This picture isn't the best, but you have to snap them fast before they're done hugging; when they're done, they're done. Aren't they sweet cousins, though?

Uncle Alex. He is lovingly referred to as "Allie" by most of the grandkids. Eleanor has recently learned to say it. I'll tell her we're going to see Grandma, Grandpa, and Alex, and she'll chant "Allie" all the way to their house. Then, she tops it off with one elated shout of "Allie" when she first sees him. All the grandkids are nuts about him; I'm pretty sure the feelings are mutual.
Playing nice. We had to capture a moment when they were actually getting along. Since David is more Eleanor's size, she decided early not to take any guff from him. He seemed to decide the same thing about her upon meeting, and the competition began. They've squabbled over toys, grandparents, and even the mere presence of one another! It's not as bad as it sounds, though. They're just toddlers being toddlers, and there were moments like this when they actually played side by side with nary a complaint.

Carolyn and David. Carolyn is very pregnant right now, but she wears it well. She makes a lovely pregnant woman.
