~Waiting for Cookies~

After dinner the other night, I decided to make cookies. Eleanor loves our new oven because it has a window on the door. We turn the oven light on so she can watch things cook. She's sitting in front of the fridge, watching and waiting. She doesn't watch TV yet, so this is probably about as exciting as it gets, second only to playing with dogs and cousins.
Standing back from the "hot." Eleanor has a firm understanding of hot (learned the hard way, but the experience did more good than harm). One time, I had to open the oven while I was home alone with her and she was feeling rather clingy. I put her down and told her she had to stand back because it would be hot. She carefully backed her back up against the fridge and stood there the whole time I had the oven open. Now, we just tell to her take her spot against the fridge and watch her carefully. She has never ventured from her spot while the oven is open.

I just love how her hair looks after a day in pigtails- all crazy and cute like that!
Touching the "owie" in her mouth where those big bad molars are taking there sweet time cutting through.

  1. These pictures are so cute! I love her little jammies! That's so funny that she wont leave her spot by the fridge! You need to come over and teach Charlie a few things!
